Jose S. Gutierrez Jr. is a community member, servant and educator who believes in and is dedicated to improving youth education, support and opportunity for life success. He has pursued these commitments as a student, educator, public servant and business leader.
"I grew up speaking Spanish in Mission, TX in a Hispanic community. Growing up in a Mexican-American family, being in service has always been a priority. I am joyful that I continue to learn and grow. The first member of my family to earn a college degree, I now have over 30 years of experience as an executive – with private businesses, and state and local government. My desire to join the TOGETHER Board was fueled by my commitment to 'pay it forward'. So many individuals contributed to my education, career and success. I now get to support others on their journey. I'm especially interested in championing youth."
